Chaplain Ministries would like to move forward to an official
501(3)c status! Our short term goal is to be able to offer an "Open Door
to Christ" in order to share the Word of God and Salvation through Christ
to all, in a non-threatening manner consistent with the Gospel. We would like also to establish a safe
place for young people to gather for group help with homework, work on their
music skills, socialize and learn about the Truth of Christ.
Next, we would like to be able to offer veterans
and the elderly a place in our faith community where they will be recognized for
their great worth to our community, society and nation as a whole. This we plan to do by expanding our discipleship
and forming a visitation/fellowship committee to make “rounds"so to speak, to
bring the word of God and communion to the homes of those disenfranchised.
We have visions
for the short term, midterm, and the long term for growing Chaplain Ministries:
Open Door to Christ. This requires us to
step out in faith and take the first step toward the journey in making Chaplain
Ministries: Open Door to Christ a reality.
In order for the visions of Chaplain Ministries to become manifest, we
need to obtain legal standing, incorporation, and the support of many people to
“Open the Door”!
